The Chapter helps coordinate and lead the annual Air Force Ball, an event that commemorates the United States Air Force’s founding and celebrates its history and future. The Ball brings together Airmen, Guardians, families, and community partners for a night of tradition, ceremony, and fellowship. It is one of the most anticipated events of the year for the local Air and Space Forces community.
As part of its advocate mission, the Chapter supports the annual Dayton Air Show by providing tickets to Airmen, Guardians, and families. This initiative helps connect the military community with one of the region’s premier aviation events, offering opportunities to experience world-class aerial demonstrations, interact with aviation professionals, and celebrate the spirit of flight.
The AFA WMC coordinates the annual Raider Ball, an event that celebrates the legacy, professionalism, and accomplishments of Air Force units and personnel across the region. This formal evening includes remarks from distinguished guests, recognition of achievements, and opportunities to honor those who serve. The Raider Ball is a long-standing tradition that reinforces heritage and esprit de corps.

The 2026 Pitsenbarger Event honors the legacy of Airman 1st Class William H. Pitsenbarger, a Medal of Honor recipient whose heroism continues to inspire generations of Airmen and Guardians.
