Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) program prepares high school students for leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities and privileges as American citizens.

The mission of the Air Force Junior ROTC is to develop citizens of character, dedicated to serving their nation, and community.  AFA WMC provides leadership and financial support to many local JROTC programs throughout Southwest Ohio, such as:

AFA WMC'S STEM Scholarships to JROTC Cadets

  • AFA WMC works with local JROTC Senior Aerospace Science Instructors (SASIs ) to determine and select deserving cadets
  • Currently, two $1,000 scholarships are awarded each year
  • Cadets submit scholarship applications to the local in February of each year. Presentations are often made at the JROTC Awards Ceremonty held at the end of the school year
